Balneotherapy

The so-called base baths developed by professor Zalmanov, which are also referred to as capillary therapy at our Clinic.

Antiviral or antibacterial therapy – strictly on doctors’ prescription when the right diagnosis has been set up and the resistant pathogen has been found.

Phases of diseases

During a period of 18 years of practice we have examined and scientifically confirmed the efficacy of both academic and alternative methods applied in the various phases of diseases:

  1. Considering the high sensitivity of the digestive system, the liver and the kidneys to synthetic (allopathic) medicines as well as the high number of side-effects of these medicines, in the first phase of a disease we apply Ayurvedic methods and preparations, which are time-tested and have been verified during the past thousands of years. Panchakarma cleansing therapy is the most effective, scientifically proven detoxification therapy of the body at cellular level. Panchakarma cleans the system of deeply deposited waste materials, restores the normal functioning of the digestive organs, and de-acidifies the tissues, thus re-establishing the acido-basic balance.

  2. These effects can be fortified by the application of special emulsion baths, which are attributed to Dr. Zalmanov. The baths consist of special medicative solutions and emulsions, which are basically of herbal and mineral origin. One of the main ingredients is turpentine (Oleum therebentini). The “yellow” emulsion and the “white” solution have their specific indices. The first one exercises the capillaries stimulating skin capillaries and each organ, thus assisting the elimination of toxins from blood capillaries, bones and cartilage. The second one increases internal heat, thus dilating the capillary system and facilitating the dissolution of pathologic deposits in the synovial chambers, fat tissues, the walls of blood vessels, tendons, and cartilage. This bath also decreases arterial blood pressure. Both baths have excellent analgesic properties. Apart from these we apply alkalifying mineral baths to restore the metabolic balance in addition to herbal baths restoring the nervous balance.

  3. With the help of a healthy diet (Ayurvedic cuisine), Ayurvedic formulations, the Panchakarma therapy and healing baths the human system can get rid of infections in this phase. In the case of persisting positive bacteriological or virological tests, other expedient curative methods are applied. Primarily, we take the antibiotic-resistance of the bacteria into consideration. The dosage of the applied medicine is decided strictly on a personal basis. In the case of viral infections we apply antiviral therapy which is based on the strengthening and activation of the immune system of the patient. Upon completing the therapy, the next step is a reiterative examination followed by a complex invigorating and rejuvenating therapy called Rasayana.

  4. Once the system is purified from waste materials, roughage and other “uninvited guests”, the primary disease can be treated more effectively and rapidly due to the the re-engagement of the self-regulatory and restitutive mechanisms originally genetically coded in the human body. We in turn support these processes by medication (mostly of natural origin) and various other procedures such as massage, manual therapy (chiropractic), acupuncture using mineral oils and resins, embrocation of herbal extracts, remedial gymnastics, breathing exercises, yoga, ultrasound therapy and iontophoresis applying medicative formulations.

  5. The nervous system is the most difficult to treat and regenerate, especially its vegetative part and minute peripheral neurons. Therefore, it appears that even after a thorough detoxification of the body, treating certain diseases including osteochondrosis, herniated disks, joint inflammations, cartilage abrasion, vegetative dystonia, neuralgia, amenorrhea, the disorders of the libido and sexual virility the symptoms do not completely disappear.

  6. The nervous system forwards orders from the brain to the peripheral organs and tissues, it controls the functioning of the hormone system and the metabolic processes while at the same time forwards information from the peripherals to the center. In case the body suffers from a prolonged metabolic disorder (for example high blood sugar level), chronic viral infection or the oxygen supply of the tissues is damaged, the nerve endings and trunks undergo biochemical and structural changes which inevitably lead to the hampered functioning of the whole system, especially in the area of the damaged nerve(s). For example, the disorder of the nerve trunk of the first lumbar vertebra may alter the functioning of the reproductive organs, even to the degree of developing a uterine myoma or prostate gland adenoma. In this case for example the palliative treatment of the prostate gland will not bring any results. Each and every segment of the spine conducts neurons to strictly defined organs and tissues that are organized into metamers,. Any damage to any constituents (blood vessels, bones, cartilage, muscles, organs, nerves etc.) of the metamer will sooner or later lead to the disorder of the other constituents.
Hence an effective therapy is needed to restore the connections within the metamer.

  7. This modern, very effective therapy is called “metamer therapy”. It is based on two principles: the insertion of a needle into the reflex-zone of the metamer with the purpose of stimulation and the injection of a minute dose of medicine in the proximity of the damaged nerve. We apply extremely effective and costly formulations which are capable of restoring the nervous structure and its functions. As a result of the metamer therapy, the reflex properties of internal organs improve together with the proper functioning of the endocrine system while the balance of the vegetative nervous system is restored. Due to the therapy peripheral blood circulation and the oxygen supply of the tissues are also normalized. In this way the efficacy of all applied procedures is increased and the medicines reach target cells more easily. The above detailed steps lead to significant results even in the treatment of severe forms of chronic diseases.
Despite the application of a wide range of modern and traditional treatments, our clinic retains a pleasant Ayurvedic atmosphere and welcomes everyone with a wonderful Vedic cuisine and a diet that is adjusted to your individual needs by our physicians. All patients are examined observing the principles of Ayurveda and are prescribed the complete range of Ayurvedic cleansing and treatment therapy.
