Sama Vata Diet
(dry, light, cold)
You can only consume the fruit and food that is listed here:
1.Fruit: lemon, lime, grapefruit, plum, soaked plum, sour cherry, grapes, strawberry, rapsberry, pineapple, papaya, mango, date, fig,(sometimes orange, banana, pear, apple only stewed or fried, peach, apricot), pomegranate, cherry, strawberry
2.Vegetables: cooked onion, hot chili, carrot, red beet , parsley, radish, avocado sea vegetables, potato, tomato, aubergine, sweet pepper, corn, fresh green pea, turnip, marrow, artichoke, chili, pumpkin, (sometimes green bean)
3.Seeds: wheat, couscous, oat, brown rice
4.Beans:tofu- soya cheese, mung bean, szójabab- soya bean
5.Oily seeds:almond, walnut, pine nut, cashew, sesame nut (sometimes coconut, pumkin seeds, sunflower seeds, hazelnut)
6. Oils: sesame oil, almond oil, olive oil, avocado oil, fresh butter, coconut oil, mustard oil, hazelnut oil, suitable also: ghee: cooked and clarified fresh butter eaten cold
7. Products of animal origin: fishes (sometimes sea food, egg, turkey, chicken, duck) but normally the consumption of any kind of meat is not recommended.
8. Sugar: palm-sugar, maple syrup, crude molasses, (sometimes fresh honey not older than 3 months, fruit-sugar)
6.Spices: garlic, cardamom, sweet fennel, nutmeg, ginger, clove, coriander, Roman cumin, cinnamon, basil, rock salt, anise, curcuma
7.Liquids: You should drink a lot of liquids, tea with tonic properties, fruit juice (sour), bitter wines: e.g., 0,5-1 dl before meals
8.Dairy products: milk, yoghurt, kefir, cream, sour cream, fresh butter, cottage cheese, cheese, buttermilk
9.Vitamins: vitamins which dissolve in fat: A, D, E, C, minerals: zinc, calcium.

2. Vegetables: celery, white cabbage, coriander leaf, green bean, asparagus, mushroom, broccoli, sweet pepper, turnip, carrot, sweet pea, red beet, cabbage head lettuce, mustard leaf, radish, onion, Chinese cabbage, horse-radish, sunflower seed bud
suitable also : cauliflower, spinach, parsely, (sometimes once in two weeks: potato, pumpkin)
3. Seeds: barely, corn, buckwheat, rye, millet, (sometimes: basmati rice)
4. Beans: angular-shaped bean, tofu (soya cheese), soya, lentil, split pea
5. Oily seeds: pumpkin seed, sunflower seed
6. Oils mustard oil, saffron oil, sunflower oil, corn oil
suitable also: ghee: cooked and clairified fresh butter eaten cold
7. Products of animal origin: turkey, chicken (sometimes), but normally the consumption of any kind of meat is not recommended.
8. Sugar: honey
9. Spices: any kind of spice is good, especially hot, red hot chili, cayenne pepper, black pepper, mustard, horse-radish, garlic, ginger, curcuma, clove, cardamom, cinnamon, Roman cumin, basil, coriander, parsely (sometimes nutmeg, sweet fennel, mint)
10.Liquids: Don’t drink a lot of liquids, only herbal tees lukewarm or warm, spicy tea, black or green tee
11.Dairy products soya milk, goat milk, buttermilk
12.Vitamins: group B, sometimes vitamin C and K.
