Ayurvedic pharmacology is a very deep and manifold science. Ayurveda applies thousands of medicines, most of which are prepared from medical herbs. Besides herbal medicines, it also applies minerals, metals and colours in the therapy, which is less known in the West. Classic Ayurvedic texts ascribe healing effects to all the plants and elements of nature if properly applied. These medicines are applied not with the aim of suppressing the symptoms of the disease but rather to restore the harmony between the elements and forces within the body and thus eliminate the cause or the root of the disease. The effective system of the Ayurvedic medicines is targeted at the elimination of the disease itself and not just its symptoms. Compared to western medicines, the herbal therapy applied at our clinic also has the advantage of having no side effects at all.
The prescribed formulations and dosages are determined according to personal necessity and response, considering the age, psychological state, weight and constitution (Pitta, Vata, and Kapha) of the patient. Before their application we recommend to consult an Ayurvedic physician, herbalist or a qualified health specialist. The individually prepared curative and supplementary formulations follow the original recipes of Ayurveda and Avicenna observing all the original ingredients and methodology.
Ayurvedic medicines use exclusively natural ingredients. Ayurvedic medicines usually consist of several ingredients of plant, animal or mineral origin. These time-tested recipes have no side effects in case of proper application. This is also true of Ayurvedic food supplements and medicated oils as well as a variety of common plants considered herbs in Ayurveda like ginger, saffron, dill, garlic etc.
